Claim Process
At Max Bupa, we provide the best services to make claiming as simple and straightforward as it possibly can be. Just follow the simple steps given on the link to claim:

Health Insurance Claim Process:
Step 1:
Get admitted to any one of our network hospitals. For a list of our network hospitals visit maxbupa.com

Step 2:
Use your Max Bupa Health Card or share your Policy number and Passport / PAN card / voter’s ID for identification purposes

Step 3:
The Network Hospital will check your identity for validation and submit the pre-authorisation request form to us

Step 4:
We will review and provide our confirmation to the Network Hospital by fax and E-mail and also send a text message and an E-mail confirming the same to you. We will respond to your request within 4 hours

Step 5:
We will settle the claim (as per policy terms & conditions) with the hospital after completion of all formalities

Note:
Cashless Facility is only available at hospitals in our cashless network. In case of Planned Hospitalization contact your service provider two days prior to admission. In case of Emergency Hospitalization contact your service provider within 24 hours of hospitalization. What happens to the policy coverage after a claim is filed?
After a claim is filed and settled, the policy coverage is reduced by the amount that has been paid out on settlement for the rest of the policy year. Let’s take an example. In January you start a policy with a coverage of Rs. 5Lakh for the year.

In April, you make a claim of Rs. 2Lakh. The coverage available to you for May to December will be the balance of Rs. 3Lakh. At policy renewal, the coverage reverts to Rs. 5Lakhs.

What is the maximum number of claims allowed over a year?
There is no limit and you can make any number of claims during the policy period. However the sum insured is the maximum limit under the policy. Other sub-limits might be applicable to your policy.Please read the table of benefits as applicable to the policy that you have bought.

In what circumstances is any identity proof required?
A valid photo identity proof is required by Max Bupa at the time of pre-authorisation, in-patient hospitalisation or for a day care procedure.
