The chief minister of Delhi Mrs. Sheila Dikshit said that more schemes will be soon launched under Direct Benefit Scheme. She told about various schemes which the government of Delhi is thinking to launch for the maximum benefit of beneficiary. The schemes the government is planning for launch are:
• Delhi Annashree Yojna
• Kerosene Free Delhi
• Student Related schemes
• Schemes for old age people
• Pension of Widows and Disabled people
She also added that if these schemes are launched the number of beneficiaries in the capital city Delhi will be increased up to 30 lacs. Mrs. Sheila Dikshit also added that more than 95% of the people of Delhi have received their aadhaar cards.
Aadhaar card has become mandatory in many other states too. People can’t buy or sell their property without their card in Jharkhand. Moreover the government of Jharkhand has also made aadhaar cards compulsory for registration of property effectively from January, 2014. One of the officials from Unique Identification Authority of India said that government took all these steps so that there can be transparency in the system and fraud property scams can be stopped.
If you are willing to buy or sell any property you won’t be requiring aadhaar for now, but from January 2014, you need to submit your card along with other documents for registration, moreover the witnesses from the buyer and seller side should also have their aadhaar card along with them.
There had been rumors that there is a dress code for the people who are enrolling at the aadhaar enrollment centers. UIDAI has clearly mentioned that there isn’t any dress code for enrollment procedure. As per the UIDAI guidelines the face of the enroller must be properly visible so that proper picture can be obtained of the enroller.
There is no requirement of any particular dress code but the clothes must not cover the facial region of the body. There are tweets on social networking website tweeter by many women of the country that they were not enrolled because they were not having “duppatta” on their body.
